My name is cameron
...and i grew up in a golden age of cartoons
My earliest memories are with my dad; "The Tick", "Batman The Animated Series", and "Space Ghost Coast To Coast"– weekend Saturday morning cartoon heaven!
The 90's and early 2000's were indeed a cartoon heaven!
"Tom & Jerry" and "Looney Tunes" was playing on the SAME channel as "Ed, Edd & Eddy" and "The Powerpuff Girls"
Studios weren't afraid to push-the-envelope with bizarre concepts like "Courage The Cowardly Dog" and "Samurai Jack"
The US even dared to broadcast Japanese cartoons such as
"Dragon Ball Z" and "Sailor Moon"
And I'm proud to say a cartoon character from my childhood, Spongebob Squarepants now rivals the popularity of classic icon Mickey Mouse
There was no "wokeness"
There was no D.E.I.
There was no agenda other than FUN.
...To say the least, it was a great inspiration to any kid that had an interest in drawing.
however, animation- like many things- is now under attack by a.i.
After the Wal-Mart cashier was replaced by a Self-checkout station, I expected other physical jobs begin to be automated over time.
...BUT NO.
Wal-Mart cashier
Artists
They taught it to give you accurate change in small bills... and then... PAINT LIKE PICASSO?
THIS IS THE STUFF OF DYSTOPIAN NIGHTMARES!
During the past year or two, every artist on the planet was blind-sided by this revelation, leaving us all to question the worth of our work, the worth of ourselves.
It takes a lifetime to achieve a creative mastery.
It takes a world of cunning to successfully market your work online.
But now, add a robot that can draw something in 4 seconds that would take you 4 weeks!
Highly uninspiring!
Fiercely intimidating!
Utterly hopeless!
I was ready to throw in the towel, but...
trump got shot, and inspired me to make art again.
MAGA art to be exact!
Because.....
A robot may be able to draw faster than me...
A robot may be able to draw better than me...
But it cannot draw with the nostalgia of 90's cartoon heaven!
It cannot draw with the love of family and home!
It cannot draw with passion of Almighty God!
Long live human-made art!!!
